WEISS DAC501
47.702,63 leiThe DAC501 / DAC502 are our new state of the art D/A Converters with an unprecedented level of sophistication and versatily.
The DAC502 uses a larger frame but else sports the same features as the DAC501. Except for an an additional 4 pin headphone socket at the back of the unit.
With the DAC50x we are creating a new paradigm for what used to be a black box device. A typical D/A Converter is a “set and forget” device. Not so with the DAC50x. It adds a number of interesting signal processing features and sports a variety of digital inputs. Balanced, unbalanced and headphone outputs are provided.
Weiss Engineering has a 30 year history in D/A Converter design. In that time span we have learned a thing or two about converter design. The DAC50x is the essence of our experiences.
DAC501 and DAC502 are Roon Ready.
The DAC501-4ch and DAC502-4ch versions are now also available. The “4ch” indicates that those units will be 4-channel playback capable besides the standard 2-channel operation.
In addition they sport the latest D/A Converter chip for a no-compromise performance.
Standard DAC501 and DAC502 units can be upgraded to the DAC501-4ch or DAC502-4ch version respectively.

WEISS DAC501-MK2-4ch
55.456,48 leiDAC501-MK2-4ch is Weiss 5 Series 2nd generation D/A converter and network renderer with unique DSP technologies. The different between DAC501 & DAC502 are 1) the width of the chassis 2) DAC502 has 4pin XLR headphone amplifier output. They have identical sound quality and features.
The DAC501 / DAC502 (or DAC50x in short) are extremely versatile and pleasantly sounding D/A Converters. They are available for close to 6 years now and still going strong. In our ongoing journey to achieve a live-like music reproduction we now introduce the Mark II versions, called the DAC501-4ch and DAC502-4ch. Our residential audio engineer, Joschka Weiss, says in comparison to the former DAC section the -4ch version “achieves another level of sonic performance”.

WEISS DSP501
34.459,36 leiThe DSP501 / DSP502 are our new state of the art Digital Signal Processors with an unprecedented level of sophistication and versatily.
The DSP502 uses a larger frame but else sports the same features as the DSP501.With the DSP50x we are creating a new high-end audio unit which hasn’t been available on the market before. It is a digital signal processor with various algorithms with the purpose to enhance the audio signal or to adapt the audio signal to the room acoustics or speakers at hand.
Weiss Engineering has a 30 year history in designing signal processing algorithms for the professional audio market, namely Mastering Studios. In that time span we have learned a thing or two about algorithm design. The DSP50x is the essence of our experiences.
The DSP501 / DSP502 also include a sampling frequency converter which converts all input signals to a fixed, user selectable sampling frequency. The purpose of this converter is to ease the subsequent D/A Converter from the upsampling task. The modern D/A Converters also use a sampling frequency converter to rise the internal sampling frequency before D/A conversion. This internal converter often is of compromised quality due to cost considerations. So with the DSP501 / DSP502 converter the overall quality will be higher.
DSP501 and DSP502 are Roon Ready.
